Erasing Ait tapes and increase the capacity of AIT

Hello, I have a 520 GB AIT tape. On that tape there are lots of unwanted files. I want to erase them and increase my AIT’s capacity. How can I perform erasing Ait tapes?

Erasing Ait tapes and increase the capacity of AIT

 

Hello Donnaz,

 

You will need some kind of software to do that. Most of the producers are offering the AIT tape managing tools, so check at your AIT tape producer's web page if there are any tools available to download. 

 

If not, you can try with the one Sony is offering for its tapes. It is called Sony Tape Tool for Windows, can be easily found on the Sony web site in the support and download section and will help you to manage your data, format the tape, erase it and do everything else you need.
