Can I make an overseas call on Skype for free?

What would I need to make a Skype call to a person overseas? Can I Call a Skype user from another country (international) for free? Can I call a normal phone (mobile or land phone number) from Skype? Is this free or will Skype charge me for this? Is the rate cheaper than calling card rates?

Can I make an overseas call on Skype for free?

You cannot call overseas free via Skype to mobile or land phone. Skype will charge you for this. There is two way you can buy credit to call overseas. One is pay per minute and other is buying a subscription for a fixed country. For both you need to buy via credit card or PayPal. Can I make an overseas call on Skype for free?

Yes, Skype is best to call the person overseas for free especially for video calls. Of course you can call a normal phone (mobile or land phone number) from Skype, but for this option you must have some Skype credit or subscription, its rates depends where you are calling. No this second option is not free, but rate cheaper than calling card rates.
