Acronis Magic Easy has detected unsupported hard disk drives

Hello,

Recently, I bought Acronis Migrate Easy. I installed this program and after reboot I started it an error message displayed. How can I fix this error? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

E000101F4: Acronis Magic Easy has detected unsupported hard disk

Drives. Acronis Migrate Easy does not support Windows Dynamic Disks,

EZ-Drives, etc.

Acronis Magic Easy has detected unsupported hard disk drives

Hi there Julio E Garcia,

 

Acronis is an awesome software, but unfortunately, it does not support backup of the dynamic disks. I am afraid you won't find the backup software that will support dynamic disks, so I would suggest you to stick with Acronis.

 

There are only few things you can do, and all of them include switching your disk from dynamic to basic. Here is how to do that:

 

Create a backup of all the data on the disk.

 

Relog to your system as an administrator user.

 

Open the Control Panel and under Performance and Maintenance find Administrative Tools and then open the Computer Management by double clicking on the icon. 

 

Select Disk Management option on the left side of the screen.

 

Right click the disk that needs to be changed and select Delete volume.

 

Confirm that you'd like to delete the disk.

 

After the disk is cleaned right click on it and choose Convert to Basic Disk.

 

After you've converted your disks to basic it would be great to restart your computer so the changes take effect.
