I suggest you to wait for the iPhone 6 that's coming in mid 2013. iPad 4 has A6X a very great processing capability. For laptops, i strongly suggest you to have an Win8 laptop Acer Aspire V5-571-6891 its a very cheap laptop but capable of doing many things such as MS Office, Photoshop and many other more, worth only under 500$ it is really a affordable user-friendly laptop.
