Yes Carol its true! It’s already launched and it’s called Airtime. It’s so simple this allows you to have video chat with your old friends and new friends; it’s even possible to watch YouTube videos together through Airtime. You can even contact people that you don’t know but also have common friends with your listed friends, locations and shared interest. Even celebrities are interested to this new evolution in the Facebook. It’s so cool huh! Here are the steps in getting the Airtime on Facebook dear.

Go to the Airtime.com then click the Launch Airtime, then log in your Facebook account, click “Allow” this will permit Airtime access your personal information in your Facebook, then adobe flash player will pop up for access of camera and microphone click allow, then save settings that’s your prerogative to save or not. Then start chatting you can choose your friend’s list or with common interest even the friend of your friends.  You will see three panes you on the left side, your chat mate in the middle and your whole Facebook friends list at the right of the screen. Just click the name of the person you want to talk with then if you don’t want to talk to the person and meet someone new click talk to someone.  Try it for you to experience the new Airtime chat in Facebook good luck!

Yes it is true. Facebook is trying out a new call button in profile pages to encourage its video chat capabilities. Even though launching the service in a partnership with Skype nearly a year ago, Facebook may feel the pressured to amp up its video chat’s visibility with struggle from services like Google+ Hangouts and the recently launched Airtime. TechCrunch first noticed the little button showing up at the top of people’s profiles.

It seems like the person needs to be online for the Call button to show up. A glance at my list of friends online seems to confirm that, but nothing official from Facebook yet.
