What is Mobile Data management? Why has been MDM not really upto the mark in improving security with relation to Mobile usage? Why has MDM been unsuccessful in solving security issues like data theft? How will Virtual Mobile Infrastructure be a better bet than MDM in solving the above stated issues?

Why has Mobile Data management failed to meet expectations?

The Mobile Data Management is the database in which user has to navigate through. The user interface aim should be user friendly. The security levels are not up to the mark in mobile data management because lack of required skills among employees of organizations in developing applications of tamper resistant devices. Also, there is a wide gap between user requirements and application level development. The Virtual Mobile Infrastructure helps to increase security levels by providing access to personal data only to the authorized person, minimum data transfers, reduced necessity of client software in mobile devices.

Why has Mobile Data management failed to meet expectations?

Mobile Data Management functionality includes applications, data and configuration settings for all types of devices. Devices such as Mobile phones, smart phones, Tablets, Printers etc. Laptops and computers have been also added to list of systems supported by mobile device management functionality.

By controlling and protecting data, Application and configuration settings for devices in network, MDM reduces support business cost and business risks. The intension of MDM is to Optimize functionality and security of mobile network
This is not provided by virtual mobile infrastructure(VMI). VMI has limited access. It has access to remote mobile apps from mobile device.VMI doesn’t run locally on client device , it runs in an Virtual machine. Virtual machine is located at some remote data center.
