It all depends on the market we will be looking at. On a consumer perspective, this will surely vary. People have different needs and preferences. But as these same consumers may use these tablets for work, they may also be a part of the enterprise market, and this, is the possible target of Microsoft. Together with the user-friendliness of the design of Microsoft’s Surface, comes Windows 8’s additional security features (one example is IE10’s do not track feature), this becomes a crucial deciding factor for employees and executives who consume and handle sensitive information on their tablets. Hence, there is a possible shift in terms of needs and features. But nevertheless, there are still dies-hard Apple fans who we know will never shift.
