Merging two NTFS partition into one partition without losing data

Hello,

I have an old hard drive and I want to merge the partition I broke down years ago. Drive F and G should be merged without any data loss, since I have a lot of important files. When I checked on Windows Vista, it doesn't have that option or I don't know where it is.

 

If you can also suggest a third party software that will do the job (freeware or fee based is OK) .

 

Your help is highly appreciated.

Merging two NTFS partition into one partition without losing data

It is quite easy to do it in Vista. I have given you some easy steps just follow them:

• Go to Control Panel;
• Open system and maintenance;
• Now click on administrative tools;
• Now click on computer management. Then click on storage and then click on disk management.
• Now in the given list, go to the partition you want to merge. Right click on it and click on delete volume.
• Now go to the partition to which you want to add this space. Right click on it and then click on extend volume.

Software is also available to do this, but I think this is the easiest way of doing it.
