Visual C++ Runtime must be installed before running Dragon Naturally Speaking installation

Hi world. Here’s the thing, during an installation of Dragon Naturally Speaking, I got this window message:

Visual C++ Runtime not installed

Visual C++ Runtime must be installed before running Dragon Naturally Speaking installation.

Please run setup.exe from the installation source.

Can someone enlighten me? Is there a fix on this? Please help me.

Visual C++ Runtime must be installed before running Dragon Naturally Speaking installation

Hi Jesus,

Dragon Naturally Speaking software requires that Visual C++ must be installed before running its setup.

Here are some ways to fix the problem that you are facing –

1. Initiate the installation from setup.exe found in the installation DVD, this would automatically install Visual C++ Runtime.
2. In case if you are installing from msiexec.exe found in the installation DVD, then you must first manually install the Visual C++ Runtime by running vcruntime.exe
   1. Find the directory ISSetupPrerequisites/VCRuntime on the installation DVD. In this directory you will find the vcruntime.exe and vcruntime_x64.exe files.
   2. Copy the vcruntime executable files to a convenient location.These .exe files install Visual C++Runtime for Dragon.
