Experts! Can anyone here differentiate Ubuntu 12.04 DVD 32 download against CD? Please help me with this. I will really appreciate it so much guys. I need an urgent response with this. Thanks.

The difference between Ubuntu CD and DVD release, is that Ubuntu DVD includes extra packages than CD version does not include, such as GIMP, Inkscape, Pitivi, IcedTea Java Web Browser, language pack, among others.

on the website of ubuntu you can review the manifests of both release and compare for yourself.

Difference between Ubuntu 12.04 DVD 32 download and CD

Hello Shirlyn,

Yes there is a difference between the CD and DVD version. The CD version offers you the most important parts of the OS and the DVD version has more packages. In the DVD version you can find codec files, all the languages package and much more. I think that you should get it the DVD version if you have to choose between this two.
