This relates to firefox versions. I need to know the advantages and disadvantages of firefox version 4 vs 4x? Which version would be best one to install for Windows 7 and which version is the most popular one in the US?

How are you, as you have asked about the difference between Firefox 4 and 4 x. There is no big difference between 4 and 4x, Firefox 4x is just latest version of Firefox 4, you can get little improvement in browsing speed. I have used both of them and will recommend Firefox 4, it is also most popular version not only in US but all over the world.
