This is a common problem in Windows.
Usually the reason why Windows consumes too much time during boot is that there is too much program loading in Windows startup. Disable some of them to shorten the booting time of Windows.
Here’s how you can access Windows’ startup files:
After disabling some programs in the startup monitor Windows when booting. If it still boots slow, disable your antivirus before you shutdown your computer.
Do this every time you shutdown Windows and then enable it again after Windows finished booting.
In Norton Antivirus there is an option of disabling it for a specified period of time and after that it will automatically re-enable itself.
You can find out what your computer is starting with, by going to Start->Control PanelAdminstrative ToolsSystem Configuration. Look in the Startup tab to see what programs are trying to use your computer before you do.
There are also some things worth looking at in the Services tab, select "Hide All Microsoft Services." You can inhibit the ability of these programs to run by unchecking their boxes and restarting.
