I configured lotus traveller in Nokia E7. After some time, its getting the error as Error 401. Please help me.

ERROR 401 in LOTUS NOTES CONFIGURED IN NOKIA E

The error 401 that you are getting has something to do with the username, password, and there is also one that says something about user authentication. To view it all, the problem has something to do with the user’s account and or account settings. Since this problem happens on your phone and not on a computer, try rebooting your mobile phone and then try it again. See if there is a change in the application.

If it’s the same, try turning off your phone, open its back cover then remove the battery for about 5 – 10 minutes just to drain the phone from the battery’s charges and completely clear the device’s system. After this, install the battery again and then open the application then see if you still get the same error.

If nothing has changed, try reinstalling the application on your phone then configure your account. Try checking your username and if possible, update your password. If it requires you to use a desktop computer then do it to configure your account. Do all the necessary changes via your computer and if the transaction requires an authentication, be sure to accomplish it there before going back to your phone.

Hi the author of the question,

The error pop ups ERROR 401 means Unauthorized or not required privileged to access the site.

 Once you encounter this error in your phone it means you cannot open the Lotus traveller using your phone or incorrect URL. Either the IP address is not authorized by the website you use in Lotus traveller to access their site. If you can access the lotus traveller in the computer not to your phone it means the web site and the URL is authorized by the web site.

It means 401 you should give the correct password to access such web site. If this site is welcome to the new comers then the ERROR 401 will not pop up. Take note ERROR 401 means Unauthorized or not required a privileged to access the site.
