Relationship between Z parameters and open-circuit

Z parameters is called Impedance Parameters in Electrical Engineering. We define it as a resistance with magnitude and direction thus it is a vector quantity. Z parameters is also known as Open Circuit Impedance parameters as they are calculated in open circuit situational problems. So to answer your question. Z parameter is the impedance of an open circuit calculation. It has a unit ohms.
