Suspicious small windows caused by Avast

Whenever I boot my laptop that is running with Windows 7 and Avast Pro, small rectangular windows with red circles and white crosses pop up. They are marked "–user" and I get rid of them but they keep showing up again. I thought it was a virus but scanning my computer reveals nothing serious. Please help

Suspicious small windows caused by Avast

Actually, this seems to be a system message that pops up to notify the automatic activation of the the Avast application. Yet, it is advisable to try changing the Avast settings to stop the automatic notifications. Further, try installing any software updates, if available. Also, it is advisable keep the system regularly updated.

If all these steps fail to solve the issue, you can try a backup.
