Your program license does not permit you to run this version

Hello everybody,

After the installation of NAV 2013 RTC client could not linked and sending the following error message

Your program license does not permit you to run this version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developer Environment.

Contact your system administrator to upgrade your license.

 I received this error message for the reason that I have my elderly developer certification (Developer License for NAV 2009 R2) uploaded on my SQL Server.

This certification does not maintain NAV 2013

Your program license does not permit you to run this version

Hi Gregory,

The reason why you got the error is because you have your old developer license or the Developer License For NAV uploaded on the SQL Server which currently does not support NAV 2013.

You have two methods to solve the error.

1. Input your license file on the SQL Server that comes with the NAV 2013 DVD for a temporary solution.
2. Download the latest license file from Microsoft Voice and upload it on SQL Server for a permanent solution.
