Zip files have some variation such as 7zip, winrar etc. I have some .rar files which I want to protect with password, but I haven’t any idea about password protection.
How can I protect the important files for sharing?

How do i protect rar file by password
Hi, it is a cool idea to password protect your files and many compression tools like winrar allow to make a password protected compressed folder/file. For example to use Winrar for this purpose you will need to follow these steps :
Add the folder/file you want to compress to winrar, via the Add option, then select "Advanced", and choose "Set Password", finish with clicking O. K to apply the changes . Also you can use 7zip for the same purpose, also if you have a linux system this can be done using command lines so give further explanation in order to help you more,
hope this helps
thanks!!
