Download managers-what are they and impact on download speed

Yesterday, I was looking for ways to quickly download the new Ubuntu. In that respect, are any of the available download managers a good way to accelerate the download speed? Can anyone tell me if internet download manager is worth paying for? The on-board download manager for the chrome browser fails a lot, can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Download managers-what are they and impact on download speed

Most of the download managers work by maximizing your bandwidth. So, If you already engage your download work with a loss free internet connection then download manager can not help you much. While downloading your file, you need to put off all other programs that might share your bandwidth. You can do it from task manager.
