How do I use Linux memory defragmenter?

I'd like to use the Linux memory defragmenter instead of Windows to have a more accurate and precise defragging of RAM and reclaim unneeded allocated memory.  My XP 64 bit system is crawling like a snail.  Can someone help me with this?

How do I use Linux memory defragmenter?

 

Dear user,

Follow these instructions for your help:

1) Click on the "Places" menu, then right-click on the drive on the left. Click on "Unmount" button.

2) Now, go to "Applications," "Accessories," "Terminal" menu and open a terminal window.

3) Next, in the terminal window, enter this command:

fsck -t ext3 /dev/hda3

4) Finally, remount the drive by typing the following command in the terminal window :

mount /dev/hda3
