What is a Micro SIM

I just bought a new HTC phone, but when I opened it, I realized that it uses micro SIM instead of the normal size of SIM cards. What is a Micro SIM and where can I buy this?

What is a Micro SIM

Hi Paul,

Your query here is about the Micro SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) that your phone is specifying  as your module instead of the traditional full size SIM, first and foremost, there are just a slight difference on the two, one of this is obviously the size, because the regular SIM measures 15 mm x 25 mm, and the Micro SIM measures 12 mm x 15 mm, but the conductor itself measures the same, secondly the its capability to store contacts, since the Micro SIM is a newer version it can store more contacts.

The question of, where can you buy this? Your network provider surely can cater to this type of SIM card, if you have an old regular SIM your can also trim it to fit in your phone.
