Excel on Mac convert text to xls

Hi,

I am using Fedora Linux operating system. I want to convert file .txt to .xls I don,t understand how i convert it if any body know then please help me and guide me about Excel on mac convert text to xls online or by any site from which I can take help.

Excel on Mac convert text to xls

 

Hi, Hanley!

First option:

1. Click on File then OPEN the txt file

2. When opened, you will see a prompt to import the file.

3. You will be asked if the files is delimited (',' or '|" ort) then import it to an excel sheet.

Second option:

1.  Go to Excel

2. Open the txt file in Excel. Locate the txt file you need to convert.

3. Click OPEN button and select DELIMITED radio button. Then click NEXT.

4. Under DELIMITERS, clear everything from the check boxes but place a check on boxes that corresponds to the delimiters that separate your items in your txt file.

5. Click NEXT then FINISH.
