Linksys wireless range USB adaptor

What is the Linksys wireless range USB adaptor capabilities? I wanted to know if it was fast enough to handle video chatting and sending files through FTP.  Also what will be the security of my information that I send if I get one of these USB adaptors? Can someone get access to my network if they are near?

The Linksys Range Plus Wireless Network USB Adapter or also known as Linksys WUSB100 has the following capabilities or features:

Someone won’t be able to access your wireless network as long as your wireless network is secured using WEP or WPA. Basing on the features of the Linksys WUSB100, I am pretty sure it can handle video chatting and sending files. Speed won’t be an issue as long as you have a high speed connection as well.
