How to turn off notifications in Android 4.4?

I'm getting a lot of notifications on Android these days because I have installed a lot of applications on my device. My smartphone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. How can I turn off the notifications in Android 4.4 Kitkat? Will the RAM get freed if notifications don't come time and again?

How to turn off notifications in Android 4.4?

Well, there are many options to get rid of such annoying notifications. Keep your notification tune off or keep your cell on vibration for notifications.

 

The easiest solution of the problem is to disable notifications permanently. This option is available in android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher.

 

Slide down the notification bar, hold down the notification until a tab opens named 'App info'

Tap the box

Once the App info opens uncheck the box for 'Show Notifications'

Disable Notifications will appear to confirm that you really want to disable it or not. Tap 'ok' and you will not receive any notification from that app.
