Does Xbox 360 support Blu Ray file format

I have Xbox 360 game console in my disposal as a surprise birthday gift. My friend came to pay me a visit and had a movie in a Blu Ray format with him. I wanted to know if it is possible to watch the movie on my Xbox 360 game console and if it supports blu ray files? If it is possible what procedure should be followed to accomplish such a task?

Does Xbox 360 support Blu Ray file format

Hi Juan,

 

Xbox 360 can also act like a media player apart from being a game console. It does not support Blu-ray file format and also, an external Blu-ray drive is not compatible with it. 

 

However, you can convert the Blu-ray file format to other formats supported by the Xbox 360. Check this for more info.
