If that’s how your recorded video ends up, first, try uninstalling VLC media player then install the latest. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your VLC media player among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then download the latest VLC media player and install it. See if this works. If you get the same error after doing this, try converting the video.
Try downloading the free trial of ImTOO MPEG Encoder and install it. Convert your 3GP video into another format then see if it plays in VLC media player. The trial version allows you to convert five minutes of the video. If your video is longer than that, you probably need to try other converters.
