How to edit bitmap files ?
Hi,
Bitmap is a format in which you can save images. You can edit bitmap images using the Microsoft office picture manager which you can access by going to start on your computer then typing Microsoft office picture manager' in the blank search field.
Press enter after that.
Once it has opened click on files then locate pictures. Open the location of your bitmap image, and open the image.
You can now click on edit pictures in the column on the right. You can alter the brightness size contrast color etc of the picture as you like click on file then save.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Lee Hung.

A bitmap is the graphic format used in computers. Bitmap files are one of the first image formats created. An individual dot that forms an image is known as a 'bit', so a bitmap would be the shape made by the bits when combined together. A bitmap uses a fixed method of specifying an image. When the 'bits' are put together they produce a picture which is stored as a computer file.
The picture can be manipulated, that is can be written to, changed or even copied. Bit maps can usually be used to display pictures on word processors, audience presentations or even database files. You can create a bitmap to do several functions like display it on a window or paint a geometric area where you would be using the bitmap for a brush.
One can edit bitmap files by using software's such as micro soft paint. Bitmap images usually have very large files, whereby you can convert it to a compressed format such as 'JPEG' which is smaller in size. Here is how to format a bitmap file to a compressed file using 'paint'
1. Open it in paint
2. Select file and save as
3. Choose any compression format and finally save.
