Hi all,
I am trying to install Nokia Ovi suite on my PC workstation since yesterday for getting recent software updates, but unfortunately, I fail every time. I am always met with an error on my screen. The screenshot of the error is as follows:
Something's gone wrong
An error occurred during the installation of
assembly
'Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture
="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e2b
",version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32"'.
Please refer to help and support more
information.
What should I do to remove this error message? I don’t even have the slightest of idea how to do it.
Please guide me, if anyone has any idea regarding my problem.
Thanks and have a good day.

Failing to install Nokia Ovi suite on my PC workstation
Okay First of all there are a number of factors which may be causing the reason, unfortunately many people are complaining about this problem but every user has its own story. So you just got to figure out what may be causing the error.Above are a few mentioned remedies for it:
Â
1.Check out and turn off your firewall settings while the installation.
2.If you have installed some nokia apps then remove them from control panel and reinstall them after a while.
3.Try installing the Nokia Ovi suite beta version instead of the default (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Nokia/Nokia-Ovi-Suite.shtml/)
4.Try running the "sfc/scannow" from cmd which will initiate a windows repairing update.Download the Nos 2.2.1.23 or Nos 3Beta and give it a try.
5.Try running the installer by right clicking it and then selecting "Run as administrator" (Worked for the most time)
6.If you're getting an error message 1935 or close to it then uninstall Quick time and restart the computer.Reinstall the Nokia Ovi suite and it will work most probably

It is because the OS that you are using doesn't fit the application that you're going to installed. Try to check if is suitable.
