I try to play the file… And UNRWA! Windows Media Player says not.
Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file may be formatted with an unsupported CODEC, or the Internet security settings on your computer is set too high. Lower your browser’s security settings, and then try again.
What is this error message? How can I solve this easily? Give me a clear orientation to solve this problem quickly.
Error occurred while Playing media on Windows
Windows Media player doesn’t support all file formats; you should know this by now.
So to make sure that the file format you are trying to play isn’t supported follow Media player/tools/options/file types. From here you can see all the supported formats. If the file format you are trying to play is not supported then I would Advice you to download VLC. IT is free and supports almost all file formats that I know of. Download it from here.

Error occurred while Playing media on Windows
Hello Zenith,Â
I think the format of the video file you are trying to play is not supported in Windows medial player. Another reason may be the file is corrupted.Â
-
To ensure the file is not corrupted, try playing the video in a different player. Probably VNC media player, as this supports most of the video CODECS available in market now and is free of cost.
-
If the option above did not work, Open Internet explorer, Choose Tools –> Internet options.
-
Click on the Security tab, Use the slider to change the security to medium or low.
-
Try playing the video again.
This should solve your problem.
