Winscp Error – Looking for Help

Hi friends,

I have recently installed the latest beta version of WinSCP for a secure file transfer between my local and remote computer.

I what functioning quite well but just yesterday when I started WinSCP with a command line, the following error message popped up on my screen:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Assertion failed

Program: C:Program Files(x86)WinSCPwinscp.exe
File: r:pismereathenaauthkrb5srcutilsu…threads.c
Line: 335
Expression: destructors_set[keynum] = = 0

I need your guidance to solve this problem. If anyone has found a solution to this problem, please do let me know.

Winscp Error – Looking for Help

Hi,

These type of problem arises because of following two reasons:

1. Missing component of C++

2. Internal firmware problem

The solution differs for two problems.

If the problem is first, then reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistribution package (either x86 or x64) depending on your system. If you are using windows 32-bit, then download X86 version, otherwise x64 version.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

If the problem still remains, then do the following:

1. Go to run and type ‘msconfig’ and press enter

2. Go to service > Hide all Microsoft services. Disable this

3. Disable all startup programs

4. Restart your computer
