Problem installing on Ubuntu Software

Hi there,

I want to install the game Heroes of Newerth on Ubuntu, but each time when I start the installation, I get an error on the screen.

Fatal error

File creation failed!

                Close

I am using Ubuntu version 11.10 which is fully updated. I have the permission and 300 GB free space on my hard disk. I don’t know why this error is popping up on my screen. The Ubuntu is not even working with Nautilus.

Can anyone help me solve the problem? I'll be highly obliged.

Problem installing on Ubuntu Software

Try to re download and install it again.

Make sure you have given full permissions for that to work and don't forget to put it  in proper directory. The HoN need to work with the above configuration that you have mentioned and it should give you any problem. Make sure to do these settings once you have installed the HoN on your system. The below are the settings that you need to do to make sure that it works properly.

SetSave "vid_bpp" "32" 

SetSave "vid_refreshRate" "60" 

SetSave "vid_resolution" "800,600" 

SetSave "gl_modesetting" "randr,randr11"

 

These are the setting that you need to do once the HoN got installed. If you don't do the above settings HoN may not work unless you finish those.
