I can’t create new documents on InDesign CS5

I can't create new documents on InDesign CS5. If I open any old files it will open without any problem but if I open new document it gives below error on my Mac 10.6.8

InDesign quit unexpectedly

 

Click Reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically.

 

Please Help.

I can’t create new documents on InDesign CS5

 

Hello there,

 

This error can have plenty of different causes and it's really impossible to see the main cause from the part of your report. 

 

The most common cause of the error is duplicated fonts. Rechek your system and your InDesign to see if you have any duplicated fonts. If you find them, remove them, restart the computer and the problem should be solved.

 

Also, I would recommend you to check for updates of the software.
