VDisk Error – Looking for solution

Hello,

Really I have been running a lot with Citrix Provisioning Services 6.1 as well as I am working with a vDisk edition on it.

 

I am quite reminded it by snapshot in VMware.

 

I also make dealing with different vDisk updates as well as images. Everything was running very well but recently I found an IPC error message. I am in doubt that it may be occurring because of the setting changes, but I know that it can be fixed.

 

Basically,the IPC error happened when I tried to do any disk connected function. All the latest versions or latest disk is resulted because of an IPC error. Also at present I didn't update my 6.1 Hotfix, as a result I applied 002, 003, 005 & 006.

 

I could not generate versions of my vDisk 004; as a result I just skipped it. Unluckily also the hotfixes did not solve the issue.

VDisk Error – Looking for solution

Hello Janet,

The error may be occurring most likely because it is running outdated versions due the updates you skipped to perform. To solve the issue you will have to update the 6.1 hotfix so that the updated files will be installed. After that try running the application and see if it runs successfully.

You may also consider reinstalling the applications from scratch, only this time round make sure that you follow every step during the installation and do not skip the updates. Before doing the clean installation, you will have to perform a registry cleaning operation on your computer to get rid of any broken files as well as broken registry that might be associated with the issue. Use CCleaner to do that.
