Difference Between Communication and Transmission

I made a simple research about Communication and Transmission. I learned that Communication is a process of sharing ideas of any information by the use of communication channel. And Transmission is the reason why those information moves.

Some examples are clocks, signals, and synchronization. This is based on my own understanding on what I learned. Now, I want to know more about the two, a much deeper meaning will do and how are they differ with each other? Can you please site some examples of the two so I can differentiate them clearly?

Difference Between Communication and Transmission

Communication is the transmission and reception of information in such a way wherein both parties, the transmitting and receiving party, understands the information being conveyed. It can be in audible form, written, wireless, verbal and many other forms.

It can be done between humans through speech, hand signals or sign language, between animals, inanimate objects like computers to complicated satellites and space shuttles.

Transmission is just a part of the communication process. It is the process of sending the information towards an intended (or non-intended if someone else ‘listens’) recipient. This can be considered the initial stage of the communication process.
