Expired MS-Office Home and Student Edition

11 months ago, I bought a premium version of MS-Office Home and Student Edition. Just today, I was surprised to see that it already expired. I searched on the FAQ page to contact Microsoft’s customer service support, but no one is available to chat or talk with. I have the installation disk with me and a valid product key. But every time I open MS-Office, it is expired and cannot be used. What is causing the problem? How can I resolve this? Please help me.

It is very likely that the file that handles your licenses has been corrupted and it sees your installation as a trial version effectively disregarding the product key that you have. To try and fix this, first download Microsoft’s FixIt which you can download from here:

The file’s link is at the center of the webpage. Download and run it. This should remove the Microsoft Office license file. Restart the computer and then open up one of the Microsoft Office applications, like Microsoft Word, and it should open the Activation Wizard. Just enter the product key that you have and it should activate the installation again.

Dude, thank you. You really helped me a lot Chuck Norse. I downloaded the Microsoft's Fix It and restarted the pc after that. I spent more a lot of time finding my activation key than solving this problem. Techvy.com is really a great site! Thanks
