Hi,
I recently reinstalled my XP operating system because, my desktop was getting more slower and was not working properly. But now after reinstalling, I thought it would be in a better condition.
Â
But nothing seems to happen like I expected. During first 2- 3 days, it was working fine but now its in the same position just like before. How can I make it fast like a new desktop.

Problem of having a slow PC
Â
Hi Ricky,
Â
There are many reasons why the computer tends to become slower.
Â
-
It may be because it was infected by a certain virus that came from the files you are downloading. You should have an Antivirus software, to prevent your computer from any virus infections.
-
You have to delete all the unnecessary files that are saved in your hard disk. Just type " msconfig" in the run box of your START MENU.
-
Sometimes, it's with in the corrupt registry that makes your computer slower. Because the registry acts as the brain of the computer. All you have to do is, download a registry cleaner software to clean and detect the registry error and this will safely remove the infected registry.
Hope this may help you.

Problem of having a slow PC
Â
Hi,
Â
Slow PC. It is a real headache right?
Â
So you reinstall the operating system. But the problem is same. So the problem is not with the operating system.
Â
-
First check the sizes of the partitions you have. Especially the partition on which the operating system is installed on. It is better to keep lot of free space in that partition.
-
Then go and see what are the operations happening and how much CPU usage is being required. If you can find an unusual operation stop and remove them.
-
It is better to do a full scan in the hard drive to see any versus affected.
-
Finally try to use a light software that is suitable for the current performances of the machine.
Thank you.

Hello,
Â
If the computer is slowing down, you need to upgrade your PC to the highest level or it can be the system runs slow because there is an problem with your PC. You need to run the self-diagnostic program on the Registry Patrol. Scan the computer deeply and if there is a problem found, repair the error and fix the majority of the problems that can be slowing down the running of the computer.
Â
Try to defrag the computer. Go to properties of the Drive C. Right click and go to the tools you can see the defragmentation option there.
