Error shown while trying to update the BIOS from F.20 to F.21

Hello,

I took one more look at the Event Viewer and scrolled down because I wanted to know from where the error message was created.

Also, when I tried to update the BIOS from F.20 to F.21, the event 5 and event 4 showed ever since I set up this BIOS update.

Error : Event 13, ACPI

The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacture for an upgraded BIOS. In some situation, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.

What is the reason? Please help me.

Hi, I understand your problem. Here's my some suggestion for you. To overcome this problem you need to re-install power management and need to upgrade it if available. Then you need to upgrade your bios if available. I think you will recover your problem as soon as possible. Try to download the latest version of power management.

Error shown while trying to update the BIOS from F.20 to F.21

The error you are receiving indicates that your EC (Embedded Controller) is having trouble with the battery driver. You can confirm that this is the case if you take out your battery and work on AC power alone. To fix this problem, you will reset your EC by following these steps:

1. Hold the "OFF" button for several seconds and power off your notebook/laptop.

2. Remove the recharge plug and then remove the battery.

3. Wait for a few minutes.

4. Put everything back together and power on your notebook/laptop.

Now you've reset your EC, the error should not appear again.
