Hi guys,

While opening a file with CorelDRAW X5 I received an error message.

Have a look at the screenshot below. It stopped working throwing this error message. I clicked on RETRY. It threw the same error message again.

How can I get a remedy of this issue?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

CorelDraw Error reading a bitmap in file

Click ABORT if you do not wish to open the file.

Click RETRY if you wish to opening the file.

Click IGNORE if you wish to open the file without further error messages.

Hi,

This kind of problem usually is because that the Bitmap image that is inside the file is corrupted or was hyperlinked to some other files, but usually you just need to click the "IGNORE" button, and it will open up but still check if there is something wrong with the file that you've created or if the bitmap is missing.

Usually you'll find that there is nothing wrong with the file and it is just some bug of the Corel draw software.

Hope this fix your problem.

Have you try to open a new file form the same program. If you did not try then do it and you will be able to know that your program is corrupt or the file you have is not able to work with. If the file is causing error then make sure you are using the same version for the file for which you create the design. The file format is really important in this case.
