Waving your hand to control your pc
I have heard of a new feature that you can now control your computer by waving your hand . I assume this is just the mouse we are talking about . Is there such a feature and does it control more than the mouse.

Dear Maxine,
The feature you are referring to is related to an entertainment console accessory that goes by the name of XBOX Kinect. The accessory itself is a set of 3 cameras connected together that can recognize a person standing in front of it and can read any gestures they might do with their body.
It is only an accessory that needs to be connected to a XBOX 360 entertainment system. You will then be able to control the entertainment system with your body, with a wave of the hand or a flick of a finger. You can browse through a gallery of movies, pick the one you like and play it, all these using your body to send commands to the Kinect. This is done without using a controller or any kind of remote.
The entertainment system is owned by Microsoft so it is possible to see an integration with Windows in the near future, but this is not a present feature. You cannot control your PC with a Kinect, although you wouldn't want to anyway, only certain apps are worth controlling in this manner (Windows Media Center, for example).
I hope this helps.
Hello,
Yes, this feature do exist and it is the one of the most advancements of our technology "Waving Hands feature." You can control your apps and system. Now, its not only mouse with which you can control your system, its your hand gesture also. It can't control more than a mouse, as mouse is a basic thing but with more advancements in technology can make this feature more effective. Microsoft Windows 8 let you do this wave hand gesture feature.
Hope this helps
