I have an HP Deskjet F2480 printer. It is printing everything out in green rather than black, like it's intended to. Even when set to print in grayscale only it still prints in green. It only gives me the option of printing in High Quality when I choose grayscale in Word 2010. In Word 2007, when I choose grayscale, it displays two options: Black Ink Only and High Quality. Uninstalling the printer from device manager and allow it reinstall automatically doesn’t solve anything. Any idea out there?

HP DeskJet F2480 error in printing correctly
Hello Alton,
A late response to this trouble of your printer HP DeskJet F2480 that has a problem in printing output which color prints always comes to green. The problem tends to be a hardware problem with your printer the ink cartridge.Â
With this problem encounter try to isolate the color ink cartridge and clean print head of it by using tissue paper. In cleaning the print head of ink cartridge put the folded tissue in your palm and dip the print head diagonally until exact ink color appear the cyan, magenta and yellow.
Moreover in experience with this HP ink cartridge were some people need to have a low cost printing and used to have the ink cartridge refill but the consequence sometimes follows because of un-proper refill of the cartridge. If that cartridge you bought is genuine then must return it to shop for it has a defective component inside like foam and print head itself.Â
If you’re previous printings more like magenta, purple, violet and other similar colors then you run out of ink magenta. The result of none magenta color will result the printing color combination like cyan color and yellow color result is green color. Keep mind that some ink inside the cartridge may be empty or has a result of clogging.
