I wanted to about KLANG a kernel level audio next generation. What is this about and what is this kernel level audio sub system. I was confused to see the kernel word in audio system. Can anyone explain it clearly.

KLANG new linux audio system

 

KLANG is a new open source audio system that is still being developed. (It is in an unstable experimental state)

The audio system platforms will be the FreeBSD kernel and Linux.

KLANG offers professional grade audio, meaning it will have the lowest possible latency, latency compensation and exact precision at a low CPU load.

The name Audio System is because of the audio application that it contains. and Its release is still unknown.
