When I open my Lotus Notes, an error pops up that says that the file already exists.
The Notes exits when I click “Ok.”
I followed some tips that said to delete “bookmark.nsf”, but nothing happened.
I encountered error in my Lotus Notes please help.
Hi Arlene,
An error encountered sometimes when 2 or more programs are running.
Just like what had happened to.
Lotus Notes error will always appear if you are running more than one system Notes.
You have to close all the program running and to solve the error you just have to let the TASK MANAGER open, then you have to destroy ntaskldr and nlnotes.
After killing ntaskldr and nlnotes, try to reopen your Notes again.
Then, you'll see it will work.
Hope this might help you.
Thanks.

Hello Arlene,
This “File Already Exist” message comes up when your note is running more than one process at the same time.
As Stephen said, you can open Task manager and kill “nlnotes” and “ntaskldr” process which will make you to restart notes.
But there is another way you can use to solve this problem instead of killing process by task manager.
You can use “KillNotes” to fix this problem.
It will start Lotus Notes again without restarting your computer. It is suitable for R5, R6 and R7.
You can download this from this site
I hope this will help.
I encountered error in my Lotus Notes please help.
You can solve this problem in two ways.
The first way opens your task manager by pressing "Ctrl+Alt+Del".
Then click on the process tab.
After opening process tab, find ntasklr and nlnotes. After finding they select those and click on End Process.
The second way is you can use a program for destroying these notes.
For destroying this you need to use a software named “KillNotes”.
After installing “KillNotes” you will be easily able to remove ntasklr and nlnotes from your computer.
Thanks.
