Hi all 

I found my Durametric last day.  

It seems like no latest faults are connected to an alternator problem recently solved except the below one which I was in doubt:

Hall sensor height adj. Short circuit at front 

Please give me some details about it.  

Is this referring to the passenger or driver seat?  I am not sure if it is connected however my passenger seat had a wrecked cable that joined from motor to seat for up/down seat change some months ago that I set myself. 

In so far as I can say, all works fine but now that cable has been changed.

It doesn't show to be a short circuit. I attempted to clear the error but instantly it comes back once more.

And my second question is:

Where I get more detailed data on these error messages?  

I seemed at the PDF guide that came with the Durametric but I don't find a database of error codes.

What is the reason of this? Please help me.

Durametric Software Hall sensor height adj. Short circuit at front

Hello Patty,

This fault can be found in the following cases:

• There could be a short circuit in the wires leading to the Hall-effect sensor.
• The Hall-effect sensor could be having problems.
• The control module could be problematic.

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

• First, you will need to disconnect plug from control module, and then you will check for continuity with ohmmeter on Pin 2 and Pin 3.
• In the event that there is a short circuit you will have to check the sensor wires first.
• In the event that there is no problem found in the wire, you will need to replace the electric motor for backrest adjustment.

After you have done the above you will need to actuate the fore-and-aft adjustment switch. The text that is found in the fault memory will be changed from present to not present in the event that the cause of the issue is gone.
