When I try to set up an account in Outlook 2007 it is not connecting with the server. I tried entering manually using POP3 / SMPT settings but the problem remains. I know the problem is with Outlook because I used the same account in Mozilla Thunderbird. Does anyone have any idea what is happening?
Outlook 2007 not connecting with server
Hi Deane_Haswell,
There are possible reasons why your Outlook 2007 cannot connect with the server:
-
Probably the email server ( Outlook 2007) you are using has enabled the Secure Password Authentication. Â Now you can set the authentication by Loging in as your name and password.
-
Might as well the antivius  or any firewall software could block the server.  Then you have to configure in your firewall to enable the server you are using.
Â
Hope this might help you.
Thanks

Problem with Microsoft outlook server connection might be encountered due to the following factors.
-
You are not connected to the internet.
-
You are connecting on the internet via proxy server.
-
You haven’t configured the POP server.

These factors must be checked all. If after checking all factors and the problem still exist, try scanning your computer from virus infection or reformat the system. Try also reinstalling the Microsoft Outlook.
