Setup error “500 Internal Server Error”

Hello TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem with joomla and wordpress. An error occurs when I try to open either of the two programs. I have installed Zpanel and html, php fusion and prestashop works fine with it. But the joomla and wordpress  have some issue.  An error message pops out:

The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500

Most likely causes:

•The website is under maintenance.

•The website has a programming error.

What you can try:

Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

I have tried fixing it by installing other version of joomla and wordpress but still the problem is there. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thank you!

Setup error “500 Internal Server Error”

Hallo Joey,

The error you are getting when using joomla and wordpress usually occurs when uploading a new CMS theme or when you are doing an installation of a new plugin. They can alter the code in your CMS installation so that it automatically redirects to a url that does not exist.

To resolve that issue, you will need to:

• stop using themes or plugins which are not well known based on other reviews of the people who have downloaded and tried them.
• You will also need to make sure that you have got a backup of your .htaccess file just in case you need to reset it.
