My Caricature Software Photo to Cartoon software version 6.0.0.0 is not performing well after installing avast anti-virus on my computer.

It just continues to give me an error message now. I need to know, how to use software without removing that antivirus program?

Caricature Software Photo to Cartoon software problem

If the error began to appear after you've installed Avast antivirus, there is a good chance it is flagging your "Photo to Cartoon" application as a piece of malware. The problem stems from antivirus software using heuristic approach to determining if something is malware. The advantage to heuristics is that it can catch previously unknown threats. The downside is that it can also, as in your case, mark certain legitimate software as malicious. To fix this problem, do the following steps:

1. Open up Avast! by right-clicking the blue "A" icon in the system tray.

2. Click "Settings".

3. Click "Exclusions", click "Add" and then click "Browse".

.

4. Navigate to the location where your program is installed or alternatively, mark the entire folder tree as excluded.

Now your Avast antivirus will no longer interfere with your "Photo to Cartoon" program.
