I have a problem enabling or activating Bluetooth on my HP mini notebook. I’m running Linux Operating System. Before the problem started, my laptop can boot to both Windows and Linux and the Bluetooth works smoothly. When my Windows crashes, I decided to use Linux Operating System. After switching to Linux, I was unable to turn the bluetooth on. I tried searching for a solution over the web but nothing helps. Please I need to know what I should do. Thanks!
Unable to turn the Bluetooth on with Linux
Hi Henry King
You need to have the driver for the bluetooth that is for linux. You have the driver for Windows alright but not for linux. Drivers are specific to the operating system.
If the laptop came with windows then it must have the bluetooth driver for it already installed by the manufacturer. You have to get the driver for linux though. The only way is to download from the internet. Get the driver in HP website or search for it elsewhere. Or get back to using the windows. It's difficult to have devices run on two operating systems.
