Install activex for IP camera

Hi All,

I am using Internet Explorer 8 and id trying to view IP camera through it, which says to install ActiveX for IP camera, even after installing the same, I am unable to view the same.

Is that the problem with IE 8, Please help me by providing a solution.

Install activex for IP camera

Hello David

I must assume that you are encountering this error in Internet Explorer 8 on 64bit. This is the cause, because IE8 on 64bit does not support ActiveX controls.

Please reinstall Internet Explorer 8 but this time on 32bit.

Also, in order for you to enable the ActiveX, open Internet Explorer, go to Tools-> Internet Options. Under the Security tab click Custom Level. Locate ActiveX controls and check all the ActiveX options so that they are Enabled. Click OK and it will work
