I am using internet to download several files in computer running on Windows 7. Now, I have a requirement to jeep an eys on the size of the file being downloaded. I have experience in using three browsers namely Mozilla Firefox, internet explorer and Chrome. I an ll the three browsers there is no support to detect and control the files being downloaded. I simply want to set the criteria such as if the file size is more than 300 MB the file should not be downloaded automatically. How to perform this check? Are there any other browsers which help me in this case?

You are not able to set any limits in any of the browser like explorer, chrome, Firefox. But in Chrome your download may get corrupted if it is a larger file. But you problem is different which can be done by adding a download in your router. This will disable any larger file size download. But if you want to download it then you want to remove the limitations. But to send the settings I require your router details.
