I am definitely a PC user. Mac is also a good choice. A normal PC runs on Microsoft Windows while a Mac runs on Mac OS X. They also differ in the file system used. In Microsoft Windows, the file system used can be FAT, FAT32, or NTFS. NTFS is the preferred file system used in Microsoft Windows XP and later operating systems.

FAT32 can be used on Microsoft Windows Millennium and earlier versions. FAT32 can also be used in Microsoft Windows XP but NTFS offers more security. FAT is the short term used for File Allocation Table while NTFS is for New Technology File System. In Mac OS X, the file system used can be either HFS or HFS+. HFS is the short term used for Hierarchical File system.

HFS was the primary file system used in Mac until Mac OS X 8.1 when it was replaced by HFS+. HFS+ is the preferred file system used in Mac OS X. An open source software or simply open source, in general, is any program or application where the source code is made available for use or modification. It is made freely available and usually developed as a public collaboration.
