Hi.  I have Avast antivirus version 7.0.1474 installed in my Windows XP 64 bit system.  How do I put a bad site block list in my Avast antivirus?  I would like it to immediately detect that site so it could block access.  Thanks.

Hello Danny,

Avast does not have site advisor like McAfee and AVG. You should check out WOT (Web of Trust). I have used both wot and McAfee site advisor. AVG also has a free program called link scanner.  You can download McAfee site advisor for protection against vulnerable sites and have avast as antivirus.

Hi Danny I Sanders,

Avast has a feature to block sites by adding them manually. You can set by following the steps below.

1. Launch Avast by double clicking the icon, or by Right-Clicking the icon on the system tray.
2. In the left pane, Click Additional Protection.
3. Under Additional Protection, Click Site Blocking.
4. Enter the URL of the website.
5. Click Add to block the site and Close the window.

Hope this will you in blocking certain websites. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks
